DAVID KURTIS PHOTOGRAPHY
I’ve had the pleasure of working with award-winning architects, developers, construction firms, and property managers for more than 20 years. My goal is to deliver images that not only document the work, but elevate it – making them powerful tools for portfolios, marketing awards, submissions, and client presentations. Whether shooting commercial or residential spaces, interior or exterior, I approach every assignment with a love of craft, meticulous attention to detail, and openness to the creative and technical challenges that each project brings.
“Thanks, David! As always, you present our properties beautifully. We've all enjoyed working with you and appreciate your excellent work for the University!”
Steven Nason

How It Works
-
A pre-production tech scout is recommended to establish the best stylistic and logistical approach for the final shots. During the scout, test images are taken on-site without consideration for lighting or site readiness. These rough shots are used to develop a final shot list, define the client’s goals and scope of project, and assess the site’s readiness for photography.
The tech scout also provides an opportunity to address key project considerations, including:
Determining if permissions are required for photographing people or artwork
Identifying features to emphasize or minimize in selected views
Reviewing relevant materials, such as existing images, renderings, site plans, or construction progress shots
Confirming that construction and design phases are complete, and all lighting is fully operational
Establishing access times for final photography
Identifying any restrictions to sightlines for chosen views (e.g., municipal infrastructure, traffic, power lines)
Assessing nearby properties for alternate vantage points
Identifying any areas where camera or lighting equipment access is restricted
Determining if styling, furnishing, or decluttering is needed
Confirming completion of landscaping or signage installation work
Reviewing the final delivery deadline for completed files
Following the scout, a gallery of test shots will be provided for the client to review. These images will inform the final shot list and help decide the shooting schedule. The schedule will consider achievable daily output, weather conditions, and seasonal factors.
-
The number of shots captured per day depends on logistics and access. The goal is to maximize output while maintaining quality. The day rate includes the final processing and delivery of up to 12 high-resolution files. Additional high-res files are subject to a per-file processing fee, and licensing to use all files is included in the rate per terms provided.
-
Images captured during the shoot undergo digital processing, including basic color correction and tonal adjustments. Requests for extensive retouching may incur additional fees. RAW files are not provided. Final images are delivered as high-resolution TIFFs and low-resolution JPEGs. Completed files are delivered electronically via an SFTP link for download.
